I'd say Wake Island and Fushepass

Also to save making another topic, whats the best graphically looking game you have seen, one thats available to buy now.

Yes I agree, Fushe Pass and maybe Songhua..

The best GFX i've seen recently are in FEAR, and although it's older FAR CRY has some super visuals (has a series of massive Wake-Style Islands)

Karkand: I think this is one of the reasons why people play it so much

WAKE ISLAND for the brightness & Fushee Pass for the large scale scenery & the tall ass funnels (watever they're called)

Songura Stalemate reminds me of bfv, but is a nice looking map. Kubra Damn does look hella better than it plays lol, and Wake Island looks nice too.

As far as games go, I've played just about every major FPS game over the years. The UT based games are a bit too 'cartoony' looking, using overly saturated textures (A common mistake in games) that are just too intense for the eyes. The ID games look good, D3, Q4, etc....but they are still missing something.

Best game so far has been HL2 / CS:S. Graphically its one of the most realistic-looking games I've ever seen. The single player HL2 was amazing, and playing online maps like de_tides in CS:S are incredible. Great graphics, not too hard on the eyes, and looks very realistic. Smoke, bullet effects, physics, etc...

Just to add to the FarCry post, this game is like 3 years old or something and it is still very impressive, great game too, heres screenshots from my system, put everything on top AA, everything ultra'd.

Karkand,The terrains are more detailed than other maps.
The best graphics i've ever seen is Half life 2 and counterstrike source. they have one of the most realistic graphics i've ever seen especially pyshics and effects

                    Re: Best graphically looking level

Karkand is without a doubt the best graphically looking map. I have a fairly high end rig and can play everything on full settings. Some parts of karkand actually look real on my screen. Im not too convinced by the trees though in BF2.

For the best game available at the moment graphics wise, it has to be Oblivion. It is breathtaking. Also look at the new game - - CONDEMNED CRIMINAL ORIGINS - it is like watching a movie.

I don't agree that FEAR & HL2 have exceptionally good graphics.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is up there as well. COD2 deserves a shout too (although it looks a lot better on PC than on XBOX 360)

Dailian Plant... why do you think it was in the demo? and maybe Gulf of Oman. Defenitely not Karkand. This is my personal opinion and I dont want to dicuss it.

Other great looking games: Quake4, Half-Life2, FEAR

Your right about Oblivion, it looks amazing and the sound is 10/10, when your outside it sounds real, if only I could run it on higher because I can only run on medium/low and thats with some lag outside especially in forests or grass.

The two maps you mentioned and Dragon Valley are the best visibility for pilots. I kill 30 - 40 peeps everytime I get a jet on those maps. As far as graphics go, I think all of the maps are impressive. The ones that you mentioned just have pretty weather and blue skys.

hmmm. I havnt had a chance to play to much with the new system. I liked they way Dragon Valley looked on the old rig.

Oblivion has been sucking me in pretty damn hard for the last couple of weeks. and on the new rig, loks damn impressive.
