And no, its not one of those crappy hosts like putfile...

I love community made media such as videos and music, and I dont want to have to go through all that putfile business or registering on some random site.

I'm offering free media file hosting to all members of Total BF2 members. They'll be direct links aswell so no linking to pages. If you ask why, well, I explained a reason above, but I also have about 600GB of quality bandwidth a month which I would like to burn.

The Details

Just send me an email with the file attached, or if that wont work for you, I can arrange an ftp account so you can upload directly to the server yourself. I'll accept media up to 200mb in size. I encourage High Resolutions Vids but only if the movie is of high quality (as in well made).

This should be very helpfull for a lot of the smaller highquailty videos released here on TBF2.

Just beaware that If you upload a very populer movie it can easily use 1000gb + bandwidth. But im all for people setting up this kind of thing. Good luck.

I was once offering free ftp accounts with sub-domains at www.overclockers.com.au. Simply out of generosity (it takes me about 5 mins to setup each account).

Anyway, the admins deleted the topic thinking it was spam (to good to be true) so I complained and got banned. You can imagine how frustrating that experience was for me. Anyway, I hope that doesn't happen here :)

I also do realise that popular vids can use heaps of bandwidth, but that doesn't worry me :)

As you may or may not know, there been allot of controversy with video hosting these days.
I would hope that a first post in a movie thread would be that of a review or download success / initialisation, not...
"I'm getting [insert low kb/sec here]"
or
"Host is teh suxxors / given up"
...which I tend to see a good deal of.

Yeah, totally agree...

I'm sick of these low quality slow downloading vids like on youtube and putfile, not to mention the maze pages and waiting times. Which is exactly why I'm offering this.

Also, the server is in germany for anyone interested (I'm australian though)

I remember playing a few rounds with/against you way back in September. Would have been GA or Internode servers and, at the time, I was using an old profile of mine (Avenger101). I remember one particular moment that brought a smile to my face ... You'd teamkilled me a number of times (very deliberately but also in good fun) and, a day or two later, I was teamkilled by you again. I wrote something like, "Ahh, sloth_boy, you're back ..." and you seemed very pleased that I remembered you!

The last time I found you on-line (it was on Dalian Plant during that same week), I crept up behind you and knifed you in the back but then I was booted from the server.

lolzor, back then I was having huge problems with bf2 and my hardware, constant crashes.etc, I use to get bored and ****ed of with all the crashing so I use to tk a bit, lol. I'm a changed man now after all the patches.

Then again, I was never irritated or annoyed those times you got me; it definitely came across as light-hearted fun as opposed to when I get teamkilled by some self-centred jerk who just wants a jet or helicopter or something. The few times you killed me, it was so brazen and deliberate I couldn't help but laugh! :p

lol, teamkills can be so fun.

I ussually enter server with 0 players to get them populated. I always need to wait till 10 players join but when there are less than 10 players, everyone becomes medics and we just kill and revive, lol, its so stupid yet so fun :)
