Tired of vehicles shooting you through walls

I get sick of vehicles like Vods, hmms, tanks, etc. shooting you as you move behind a wall of a concrete building and killing you. What kills me the most is you see them coming so you duck around a wall and hide. You can't see them so presumably they can't see you. They MAY have seen you before you moved behind the wall but once you move behind the wall you should be safe but sadly you aren't. I have been killed countless times but these magic bullets that penetrate concrete.

To be clear, I'm talking about something very fast. You see a Vodnik coming. He sees you. You move behind a wall. You no longer can see them. They fire, you might still be moving, but you can't see them. They still kill you. I don't get it.

Perhaps it's caused by the tiny differences in the two players' net connections. Perhaps you as the victim are actually seeing things AFTER they happen. That is, a few fractions of second, not that long, but long enough for you to die. It sure is weird. Just tonight I was on Karkand. I saw a Vodnik coming. I was prone next to a building wall. When I saw him I moved behind the wall as fast as I could. I could no longer see the vod so how could he see me? A fraction of a sec later he kills me. I guess he saw me before I saw him and all that other stuff I did to move didn't matter because I was already dead. lol

im pretty sure that the vodnics 50cal can shoot through the tin fences, it happend to me the other day i was well behind the fence but he kept shooting as he could probably see my tag and he killed me, never seen this before but after that im pretty sure that they can.

I know this feeling well. Although if I can remember rightly that certain vehicles can shoot through un-solid structures. What's gets to me is that people who design cheats for MP games and Punk buster seems to up date itself every now and then. Totally support you on your question m8. Nothing much you can do about it, although I may be wrong

I totally understand motorboatJones. And it is kinda strange but if you stay to close to the corner of a building it is very well possible to get killed specialy by an APC any Type (MEC, CHINA or US Model).
What i think is a joke, is when i see somebody standing behind a fence and im shooting like crazy with my APC and the bullets or shots don't go through the fence only if i get out of my APC or Tank i can kill the enemy with my rifle or any other gun that fires normal bullets. THAT sucks!

Also remember if you prone, your feet stick through the walls. Some bad clipping. I've sniped enemies by simply spotting their feet through the wall and shooting, it hits them. Whenever I hide, I crouch and keep a gap between me and my cover.

If you die under a second after going behind a wall, yes, then it is netcode issue.

If you die after being awhile behind a wall, it's either part of your body sticking out, or the wall is penetrable. It's pretty simple to kill people hiding behind obstacles - just spam bullets until you see hit indicator - then fire some more.

I'm just curious if any of you who complain about .50 cals shooting you through tin fences and what not have ever seen what an M2 (.50 cal) can do in real life.

Lol... Yeah, I've had some great knife kills from stabbing someone in the foot through a wall...

Also remember that certain weapons give splash damage, so they could be shooting over the top of the low wall you're using as cover at an object behind you, with the splash damage killing you. APCs are the most notable for this. I don't think Vodniks have splash damage though (but I could be wrong)...

Some thing's are not impenetrable when it comes to bullets and tank rounds. There have been numerous times on Karkland where I would spawn at the first base on MEC and they have a APC camping the alleyway and everytime I try to make it out of its line of fire, I get killed right after I make it around the corner of the building.

I have this happen to me all the time. I'll be trying to round a corner of a building to evade an enemy APC/FAV/whatever and as soon as I'm around, I'm dead. I think it has to do with lag, though. The game registers me as "dead," but I'm still rounding the corner. Once I'm past the corner, I die because the game's netcode didn't notify me (the client) that my character had already died.

This happens all the time in Counter-Strike Source, as well. You'll pop your head out from a corner, and when you're back behind the corner of the wall, you fall over dead. That's because some guy shot me while I had my head popped out.

What did you guys expect for the bullets/shells not to go through walls. Think about your question for a second here. Those vehicles aren't exactly something you can just pick up at your local store.
