most players including myself dont use the SVD as much as the other snipers and i jsut started to use it and i like it a lot. For what reasons do you like or dislike the SVD or type 88

I like it because of it's effectiveness in short-range sniping. Took out a medic at less than 20m with it too. Also effective for guarding a flag against two or more squads if you have a good spot </input>

-too loud when fired rapidly...

I think is good on maps where only a few players in but in well populated servers they will spot you in no time...

The auto snipers work well in medium to long range. The M95 damage is better so I use it for long range. I tend to run out of ammo fast on the autosnipers because I use it as an assault weapon, ~15 kills before I need to grab a new kit off a dead body.

I dont like the Dragunov, i dont get on with the "v" shape crosshair, prefer the normal ones...L96A1 owns , got the best scope in the game if you ask me. Plus its v accurate and sounds the buisness

I have extreme bias over semi-automatic sniper rifles and long-range rifles with the exception of the M21.

I hate teh SVD because of its scope. However I love the Type 88, simply because it can shoot fast and it has the crosshairs of teh L96A1.

On topic, The type 88 rawks. On 16 player gulf of oman, I get more kills with the SVD than I do the M24/L96
