Not sure if this is a bit off topic, but the only time this problem is a probem(?) is when im playingBF2. I'm New to PC’s and afraid I am still very much a beginner, I own a Compaq presario pc (I know now) that I’ve been upgrading over the last 6 months or so.
Ive added an nvidia 6800gt (AGP)
An extra 512mb of ram
A Tagan 430w psu
And a creative xfi xtreme sound card.
Everything has been fine but after installing the sound card a few weeks ago I’ve been having a few issues with the in game voip And the PC has cut out a couple of times.
Because the motherbaoard is small(it only has three pci slots, one is covered by the fan on the side of my agp card and another contains a card with lots of bus adaptor and enumerators on which I’m informed is a sister board/card, an extension to the motherbaoard) I had to put the sound card in the only other available slot which contained a 1394 Host controller/link layer control and a soft modem card. The sound card is fine but the voip will start playing up when being put under heavy demand.
I only realized a couple of days ago that I had to uninstall the old card that was previousley in the pci slot…
I managed to uninstall the soft modem and the 1394 Host controller/link layer control in the device manager. YES!! Only problem is, when I reboot I get a pop up saying new hardware found and they both reappear in the device manager...
AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
Any idea how to uninstall them permanantly?
Thanks : )
