As I'm sure a good few of you have read in my "Oh my, Im HORRIBLE" thread, I suck. Pretty bad :laugh: But today was a complete turnaround!!! Read on 
My day started off great as I was staying at a friend's house and then going to our local lancenter. It felt great to play BF2 on high settings
Anyways, after a round of fooling around with planes/helis, we decided to hop onto a 32 player wake server.
I quickly applied to be commander and I was accepted quickly. The rest of the game is a big long story (and the game was VERY close, 6 tickets to be exact, my team won) But, I came out of the game with a gold star (I got a 2nd one the next round when I was also comm), the staff officer ribbon, and basic command. Now I know this isnt amazing but for me, whos used to 1 medal a week, was AWESOME.
But my story doesnt end there
I went home and decided I'd mess around with my hardware a bit. (Someone had told me I probably should plug my powersupply into my graphics card :laugh: ) Then, I went into my video settings, changed everything to low/off and joined a game. Now this was one of the reasons to my sudden increase in skill. Before I had horrible choppiness but now I have none ^_^ and Im not bothered by the bad graphics as much anymore.
Anyways... (sorry for the rambling folks

I boot into BF2 and... I HAVE 2 UNLOCKS
weee! It turns out it was from playing SF at the lancenter So I grab my new all time favorite weapons, the g36e and the dao12.
Now since this is getting long, Ill cut to the chase (like I shouldve done awhile ago!) After a couple rounds, I came with all BR scores above 100 (my average was 40 :laugh: ), received my basic pistol badge and my combat action ribbon.
This truly made me love BF2 again and I'm glad my skills have finally improved.
P.S. I apologize for the extremely long post. I finished writing it and realized I was going into ridiculous detail, but I didnt want to delete my work, so, sorry chief! :laugh:
