I just hope to bring this issue to attention. This is a bug that's more annoying then the red/blue bug (which hasn;t happened to me in 3 month)

do you mean it doesnt show the little X thing when you hit a jet? i think i know what you mean, i was dog fighting on Oman, and while trying to time my missles just right, i would just spray my gun, no hit indicator, but it must have been hitting because he started smoking.

Well i figure that you dont really need a hit indicator for the cannon, and as for missiles if you cant see whether it hit or not chances are it didnt hit because of the physics etc...

Plus Hu.Z you still never told us what you were saying is wrong with it.

the lack of hit indicator with jet cannon. I dont' see why every other gun has it but it doesn;'t.

in CAL's BF2pro there is a jet hit indicator, its great. would be an easy fix i'm sure.

Dunno but he might be talking about the bombing thing. If someone get's out of a vehicle it shows up as an enemy vehicle in bombing mode (dunno how long it lasts, not sure). Causes alot of TK's. It's weird becuase it happens on boats too, but boats never show up in bombing mode wether there is someone in it or not, only if there is nobody in it + it's on land.

Hehe, reading the whole thread before posting is usually a good idea and when it's a short one like this, an easy thing to do.

He ment the little X you get for scoring hits with any other weapon.

BTW, The issue you mention has been resolved in 1.3 apparently.

Its not even needed, you'll know you are hitting them when they start to smoke or burn

It only works on one teams jets, the rest of them don't.

For long distances, if you don't know your lead distance like a long time player, you would never know you hit the other jet til they started smoking.

The only indicator you have is the puffs of smoke coming off the body of the jet, and that is if your close enough for that animation to display. And for a lot of noobs, they don't understand that they bullet impacts are client side and when your hitting the tail end of the vehicle (if it is traveling somewhat off parallel to you) that they are not even hitting the jet. A real indicator like every other vehicle and weapon in this game would help the nubbins learn how to use their cannons better.

Well, the Mig and Su have it I think. But the other jets dont have it. Actually it might just be the Su.
