New pc specs what do u guys think?

Hi all i have just brougnt a new pc and here are the specs.

2048MB Dual Channel Memory

250GB 7200rpm SATA hard drive

256MB nVIDIA GE FORCE 6800

The pc that i'm currnetly playing on is

512 ram, 80GB hard drive and a 128MB GE FORCE graphics card.

will the new pc be much better?

there will be a big difference in loading times, especially with teh new ram and hd, and the gameplay will be so much smoother. you should be able to run at higher graphics levels too but not maxed out. have fun with ur new rig

yes, as 22viPer22 said it is well enough but not for max grapich, if you want more buy a 7900GT

Good, alot better than the old system. You may want to get a 6800GT instead of just a plain 6800 tho.

The 7800GTX is enough for Max settings... you don't need a 7900 for that.

Do you have an AGP or a PCI-E. If oyu have an AGP get a GeForce 7800 GS CO. Its a very good card.

The 7800GTX is enough for Max settings... you don't need a 7900 for that.

lol, the 7900GT is only a bit faster than the 7800GTX but cheaper and much more overlockable ...

Good, alot better than the old system. You may want to get a 6800GT instead of just a plain 6800 tho.

oh yes, the 6800 has only 12/5 pipes and the GT has 16/6 and in the newer 6800 nonGT series there is only a SMALL chance to unlock the extra 4/1 pipes go GT!!

I really hope you bought PCI-E for future upgradeability. The PC should run the game fine, like mine does with about half the specs

not saying you are wrong, but i have a 120g and it only has 20 free on it and it still plays fine.

Full hard drives usually mean the hard drive has been used for a long time without being defragmented and this can cause severe performance loss.
