Even though I have over 80 hours as AT, I still consider myself noob in this class. I have the worst performance with this class, with k/d barely above 1. That is also thanks to the DAO, because with the Eryx/SRAW it is very bad. I know you have to aim for the tracks, but you are not able to do that all the time. Sometimes I hit the tank 2,3, sometimes even 4 times and in the meantime I get killed. Any suggestions?

It's not gonna be easy to perform well as AT. Hell, I have a .6 K/D as AT, lol.

Re: Help with AT needed
Dont complain if you got a kd over 1. My average is 0.7, and ive been playin a while.
Dunno where the rockets have the most effect, anyone here know about that?
The hard part about using eryx/sraw is to see how far away it is from you when you want it to turn. This comes with practice, and i sometimes count the seconds to know when to turn my aim to the lef/right/up/down. Spend some time practicing, its well worth it.

Re: Help with AT needed
It shouldn't take 4 shots. If the tank has a crate it is hugging up against, you need to take that out. Two shots and a grenade (which you don't have) is usually what it takes. It's best to go at them with a couple of people.Originally posted by govedobEven though I have over 80 hours as AT, I still consider myself noob in this class. also remember when using the eryx/sraw to aim above the target (so as not to set off the lock alarm), shoot, then guide it down into the target at the last second. :p"Crunch's First Officer"

Re: Help with AT needed
Don't worry about killing the tank. You just want to hit it and MOVE. If you are lone wolf, then you aren't going to get alot of kills, but you will get some and your deaths should drop so your K/D ratio will improve slightly. If you can get just one or two more people in your squad with VOIP to spawn AT, you can play games with armor.
Just remeber, don't shoot from close range if you can help it, get your hit and run (if lone wolf) or hide (if you have some help).

Avoid any and all armor that are sitting clumps.
They are probably repairing and will kill you much faster

Re: Help with AT needed
i think at is my best part - ive hit passing jets before! at can nbe used as a 1 kill weapon.also, i think the rocket goes either jsut above or jsut below the cirtcle, i forget. the most important bit is leading (shooting beforre them)
jsut practice with soem bots at long range on singleplayer"or even co-op soon :P)

Re: Help with AT needed
It helps a lot to learn how to aim the SRAW/ERYX without scoping in. That way, you can still run and jump at normal speeds and the tank doesnt get a lock on signal.
Also, the main key to AT is to work together. 2 AT working together can take out a tank with much more ease.
Also, about the K/D, learn to use the ERYX as an anti-infantry also. I love sniping people with them, and to hear their reactions is priceless.

Re: Help with AT needed
Also you can shoot then go behind cover while still aiming the rocket
It is helpful because you are not as exposed.
Basically you aim, shoot, take cover, and still guide your rocket.
You can sometimes tell if you are aiming correctly if their name tag shows up.

Re: Help with AT needed
I once worked with a tank, and boy does it work. USMC couldn't get 5 feet past the blown up BTR-90. In fact, most of the game, by the time they got to the trees next to the right US spawn, they already had at least one rockt fired at them.Originally posted by DooshyAlso, the main key to AT is to work together. 2 AT working together can take out a tank with much more ease.

Re: Help with AT needed
As most have said use as much cover as possible, and hit those treads! Over time you will learn how fast the missile moves and adjust accordingly over really long ranges. I am of the opinion that you should just keep that crosshair on them, even at long ranges. Some freaked out noobs will jump out and give up their tank or whatever.
Yep, you will die a lot, I have a .90 K/D ratio with 170 hours as Anti Tank. You are going against some pretty high fire power after all.
Another pointer that I didnt see mentioned was to wait for enemy attack choppers to "come around" before firing at them. Every time they pass over head they have to spin on their axis usually to come back and spread more havok. Thats when you strike. Also a lot of times if they are coming right in at you, you can fire off a AT missile and pull up as fast as you can, and usually hit the tail.
P.S. You'll really be the man when you can hit enemy boats consistently with the missile on wake island :)
