First Sgt?

I am a Master Sgt right now. I needed the explosives badge to get First Sgt. I got the explosives badge yesterday but I have yet to get the promotion to First.

Any ideas why? The explosives badge is showing up on stat servers.

You have to meet the requirements for First Sgt BEFORE reaching 20,000 pts. Otherwise you're stuck with Master Sgt.

Sorry, but you will never be a First Sgt., since you are already Master Sgt. and the explosives badge isn't required for First Sgt.

The part that sucks is you can be Master Sgt with 49,999 points, and someone that's 1st Sgt with barely 20,000 points still outranks you.

No, someone who got all those badge normaly, have more knowledge than the one who didn't got it so it's not sucking.

someone should make a new thread, and the mods should make it a sticky, one that states how the ranks work (ie you need the badges before you rank up to be 1st sg, or else youre stuck as master sg until you get 50,000) so that we dont get more of these threads and if we do get more, we can just link them to the sticky

I think it is very clear about the requirements, at least it was for me. I knew that I have to get all the basic badges before 20,000 to get the 1st sgt promo. And that was even before I joined this forum, so all of my knowledge about BF2 was based on bf2s.com.
