I tend to stay away from everyone below 2nd Lt. unless they prove to be valuable. In general higher ranked players do better and if I see on side having a couple of them I'll join that side because they're most likley going to win.

        Bollocks.

If I can get in the Jets then I can easily score 60 points or sometimes more per round depending on the map. Likewise, the Armour whores who go double engineers in Armour in Infantry levels can score even greater amounts of points deploying very little skill.

However, If I or the other armour/heli whores opt to take on an infantry role or we are playing with our mates running around in buggies flag capturing, then points are much harder to come by.

This is another cheap bitch way of getting more points and rising up the rankings faster.....folk who only want to play on the winning team......double points at the end of your rounds....very nice...very lame.

Anyone less than a 2nd Lt indeed!!!

YOu would have to play about 500 hours of the game to get that rank. Decent people just dont have that much time for it.

If u are doing well then I doubt anyone will TK u to get u out of the chopper. I am only Master Sarge but am pretty decent in choppers, both gunning and piloting.....NOTHING ANNOYS ME MORE than when I get lumbered with some retard swooping down on targets 90mph and wondering why I cant get any kills....or even worse...when u are tailing an enemy attack chopper and the UberNoob starts hitting this sitting duck with his cannon instead of wiping it out with the CAm guided.

Believe it or not...Most people dont know how to work the Cam Guided properly!!!!

Rank doesn't mean squat. The sooner everyone realizes that, the sooner you'll have more fun with the game.

What's up with all this bile and ire?

Jeeze. It's not like any of this hasn't been known for a looooong time.
Suggestion: Don't worry about other people's stats/rankings so damned much. It's really not a big deal. You should be focusing on your own enjoyment of the game and relax!

LOL yeah, it is the equivalent.

I'm assuming that MatTheCat is a Brit. I tend to agree with his comments.

Sorry, but I bring bad news, Generals, & Colonels are not "seeking" the approval of subordinate "junior" officers, & non-coms

We listen to this dribble in the forums about rank has nothing to do w/ skill, but in game it is, "OMG, they have 3 Colonels on their team, is there an admin?, PLZ balance the teams"

It is pretty funny, I started another account without my clan tags, and someone told me there was no way I could kill him so much because I was a noob, with a low rank.

Rank really does not amount to much, other than you have played a lot. The more you play the higher your points will go, you can't stop it unless you use your account to only teamkill for a while.

It's mostly just getting very good at one thing and doing only that for a majority of your play time... if you get good at armor and enjoy doing it you're going to end up on 24/7 karkand tking for the LAV.

It's pretty rare to fine someone higher ranked thats good at everything instead of using only jets/tanks/helis.

I m95 or take someone to the edge very often. Why? Because I want my clanmate, who I've played hours with and who is on vent with me, to gun.

Same should go for just about any duo. They will be better together than 2 randoms anyday.

[offtopic] People like you and your mate should be GUID banned. Make a heli squad, use voip and take turns. While others are flying the rest are in air defence for instance. Works great, but needs some good company. Btw I'd do better solo than you together but still I'm willing to take a noob gunner. But if gunner turns out to be completly useless I usually leave him to cap an enemy flag and cover him with cobra. And guess what? They usually obey my wishes. Why? Because I'm glad to teach him and give chances to use TV-missiles and stuff and give him some easy kills. [/offtopic]

Personally I've found less experienced players more satisfying to play with in a squad. They usually obey orders, are more careful (they flank, cover, don't run into enemy fire, spawn on squad leader) and even do teamwork! It's a great hononur to lead a squad like that and I always thank my squad for good job if I'm leading. High ranked players are too selfish to stay in row with their shiny stars. Besides they've got something better to do: their #1 priority are points, not team, nor other players. Not always, but way too often.

And it has been said thousand times; rank means nothing. The only thing you can tell for sure is experience, but after all, it means nothing. It's all about quick thinking combined to general fps skill and you can own anyone.

There's one easy method to recognize a low skill player hiding behind his rank and it's the kit he's playing. For instance a sniper flying immediately tells something about the player.

Yeah, I fly jets as often as I can. the kit of choice for doing this is of course Sniper, cos it means I can run faster to the jet hence giving me more chance of getting it. I have stopped the heinous practice of Teamkilling for jets, but if someone is being an arsehole or is Teamkilling others or blocking, out comes the M95 to pop him in the head as soon as he gets in the cockpit. Also, for levels where it is F35 Vs J10, as a F35 pilot, you have no chance of success against any decent J10 pilot counterpart. Therefore I bail out over the enemy airfield and pop J10 and heli pilots in the head as they board their aircraft. Very satisfying. I am only Master Sarge but I am a damn good Jet pilot.....it is the most satisfying and fun part of the game. Sometimes the infantry game can be very frustrating involving long jaunts on foot with ill-equipped weaponry.
