I'm rather partial towards the M16A2. The burst can be really inaccurate, but the semi-automatic firing mode is very accurate, even firing consequetive shots. The burst has its moments at close range too. Other than the M16, I really enjoy the G3.

Up close it's the PKM. For distance the g3 has no equal when you get used to it.

I have really grown to appreciate the AK for both assult and medic classes on MEC. Both accurate and powerful. The G3 just doesn't have enough bullets for prolonged firefights. The F2000 is better than the M16 if you fire in bursts.

if you play MEC assault, always go with the AK-101. It is an almost godly weapon. If you play USMC the F2000 won't let you down with a 30 round clip, 3 shot non-armor kill, flashbangs and a grenade launcher. But yes, the AK-101 is factually one of the best guns in the game.

I'm going to have to side with the AK-47. It's decently accurate, kills in the same amoung of rounds a G3 does, and doesn't force you to lose your Gp-25 and 10rounds for the tradeoff.

...even though the GL doesn't seem to have ANY splash damage anymore.

AK47. It has the same accuracy at long range as AK101, slightly less accuracy at short range, but you kill armored target in less shot.

However, the BEST assualt weapon is RPK74, If I am not on MEC then MG36.

the m16 with rocket launcher attachment is nice, but the G3 is more accurate and powerful.. my favourite is the g3 for open maps and the m16 with rocket launcher is more "city map" gun for me i think

I didn't know that there is M16 with rocket launcher. Maybe you meant M16 with the M203 grenade launcher.

Although I'm playing with she spec-ops kit right now, I really enjoy the G3...although the small clip can sometimes be a bother...it's a wonderful weapon

I like the F2000 due to the combo of scope, accuracy, and GL. Plus it's got a bottle opener in the stock.

back in the day when decent grenade launchers were still available i would always say the f2000 because of the flashes that come with it. the recoil was a bit of a bitch but full auto always came in handy. now as its impossible to close range kill with the GL i would say the m16a2- a deadly weapon in the wrong hands!
