I Hate clyamores.. Why do they blow up like 5 metres away from you when you pass them, or walking towards them? It is Lame really.. i placed some claymores as a sniper(with FF ON) and when I shall walk away from there (Claymore mine is 5 meters or more away from me) after some sniping, BOOOM! What are your ppl`s opinon on these lame mines?

Apart from one or two little occasions I've noticed the mines in BF2 only detonate when you are infront of them. Not when you are behind.
If you are too close behind and someone else walks infront, you are screwed, but that's only fair.
Are you talking about the weapon being detonated by YOU, or you being killed when someone else detonates it?
If the latter, put them further away from you. If the former, then you put them in silly places.

Since the last patch you or your teammates cannot detonate the claymores. Only the other team can. If you got killed it's because you were in the kill zone when an opposing palyer triggered the detonantion.Comment

Claymores **** ME OFF! well no, that's not right - I don't mind claymores it's just that the lady-boys runing around spaming the damn place with claymores that **** me off!!! If it were up to me snipers could use claymores for personal defence ONLY. As in, if they go more than 10 meters away from their clays, the mines dissapear.
I've spent about 50 hours sniping and I've NEVER spammed claymores for a cheap kill. Save em untill you need em, they're great for personal defenceComment

Theyre not that difficult to avoid. Their placement is pretty obvious and theyre usually easy to see.
Just dont run round blind corners and be careful on ladders.
Role on PPUs so we can have real damage systems instead of this crappy damage radius nonsense. Real explosions with metal balls in them and actual colision detection based on impact characteristics done at the per-visible-poly level...

Claymores give me utter satisfaction online in cramped city maps, enemy players go through all that trouble to get to a flag and take one wrong step on an ordinary uncreative route then boom mrkidkill[claymore] so and so ^_^
they are a hastle some times, but have the noobs of the team clear them for you while you take a new route around the city. Think for christ sake.Comment

Dude, I always take different routs, but the snipers start spamming those parts too! What do you want me to go ALLLLLLL the way AROUNDDDDDDD to get a flag? It's not ****ing possible sooner or latter an enemy tank/car/guy will ****ing kill you anyways.
And what's worse is the fukcing claymores left on the ****ing flags WTF!
