I've heard that making a "knives only", or setting various game rules on your server is not allowed and can result in the loss of your server...

Personally, I believe that the admins of the server should be able to set the rules. I do think that if an admin is kicking/banning at will, then he is obviously not mature enough to handle his own server. There are hundreds, even thousands of servers up and running every day. I don't see why a clan must be in fear of losing their server when they want to do things a little differently...

Anyway, that's just my opinion. I really want to hear what you guys think.

By the way, has anyone here seen a successful removal of a server because of a violation to the "ROE"?

i think you can have your own knifing server but it cant be ranked and no i ahvent heard/seen of a successful remval of a server for violation of ROE (dont play enuff)

Yeah. ranked servers can't limit the weapons, or say things like 'tanks/jets are for ADMINS only' etc tec.

unranked is a different story.

Yeah, its only for ranked servers. You can do whatever you please on unranked servers, within the EULA.

I have only seen 1 ranked server removed by EA and it was a knife/pistol server however at the time the report was made there were 2 knife/pistol ranked servers reported. Both servers were reported to EA at the same time. 1 server had porn links in the community section and it was delisted whilst the other still remains to this day.

I have seen some responsible GSP's remove knife/pistol servers but other than the above example I haven't seen any removed by EA.

I think knife/pistol servers are quite fun! Meh, if they own their server let them do whatever the hell they want...
