Oh dear, bf2 vanilla just became very boring

Dont get me wrong i love BF2 even tho for all the hassle it causes me comp wise, bugs etc.

However i just played for a few hours on the Operation PeaceKeeper mod, if the bigger mods (FH2,POE,etc) are supposed to be better than this, then im afraid BF2 vanilla just became boring and strangely monotonous very quickly even after my 530hrs or so of bf2 vanilla playing.


Well done OPK mod team for your first release its amazing!

530 hours of anything will bore anyone. I've only got 254 hrs and I'm losing interest. I'm turning my effort to trying to be a better pilot since I'm **** poor at flying.

I am at about 350 hours, and not really bored. Key is to master a new class or try new maps and servers. I started with Anti Tank, and have expert in that, so I playing more medic now to get my hours up there. GIve yourself some variety!

yes EA made a major blunder as when the mods come out people willing to pay for ranked servers will dwindle to a few ....now if they had been smart enough to REALLY embrass the mod community and offer them ranked status they could have keep sales of ranked servers way up for a long time...

so often i have seen corporations loose major income from idiots in their marketing teams not looking at the big picture

DiCE really needs to pony up and start santioning community maps for Ranked servers, or release a lot of inhouse made maps. The MOD will definity pull a nice chunk of people away from the vanilla BF2 when they feel they have nothing more to gain out of the stats/rank system.
