Help Flying a Plane!-> how to search

A partially usless thread which I will manually delete when I have receive a suitable answer!

I need help flying the plane...

I see a lot of pilots wracking up the kills with the secondary weapon "bombs". The crosshair changes on the map when in a suitable view but im still not sure when to drop the bombs because they take a while to hit the ground which usually results in me missing.

This will be hard one to explain but hopefully someone can give it a shot?

Above is a thread about bombing, and most of the time ppl rack kills up like that when bombing b/c they baserape.

I myslef like dive bombing since you have both bombs hitting in close proximity. Just line up your target as shown in second game screen in that link (have your target at the top of that vertical line) while diving at approx 60* (well I never tried measuring it but it kinda seems around that to me) angle.

Dive bombs are undoubtedly the best, Any APC or AA vehicle will be dead with some gun fire followed by two bombs, and if you can get it right, tanks too. Not to mention that most people in armour aren't looking directly upwards most of the time.

Cars/jeeps are so easy to bomb, You can miss by a mile and all the inhabitants will still be dead if not the jeep itself.

Choppers capping flags are a nice target too

I've got about 100 hours aviation time (about 10 of that since 1.2 :p) And I learnt to bomb simply by practice. It's second nature for me now to know how and when to drop bombs.

Obviously, the lower you are when you drop your bombs the easier it will be to hit your target. My personal preference is to drop from as high as possible so they never even knew you were there. Learning to do so can also be useful to bomb targets that are blocked by buildings/cranes/etc.

Let me remind you that my guide is only for those that are new to the bombing and try to look for a foolproof system. In the end, vets. Sarge put it the best- practice. Take your LAN server, and just start flying. Most pilots did that. Set an easily accesible key to change to front chase and cockpit

(I have F for front chase and X to cockpit, I fly with a keyboard and JS)

This way you can see the shots and youll get used to watching your rear.

Anyway, this all has been said many, many times so just learn how to use "SEARCH" feature first. I found ****load of interesting stuff when I joined, by just searching .

This might sound daft, but is there a way to configure the aircraft to use joystick. I tried redefining the controls in the options but it didn't recognise my stick moving. (A Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro).

you don't land it. Keep flying as long as possible until you die

Im sure theres something written up. Check the SEARCH. Im not good with technical issues, so just wait until someone with similar problem comes in. OR, as I said, search.

you don't land it. Keep flying as long as possible until you die

Then dont fly because you will take damage, and dont fly with a smoke trail behind you. Land a jet when its in red, because that trail lets the enemy know how to follow you.
