What's the difference between the two icons it automaticaly places on your desktop?

One is to launch bf2. The other is to launch an automatic "Join now" which basically joins a server for you. Just delete the "Join now" one

That "Join Now" Function is the worst POS ever. It takes FOREVER for it to start up BF2 and reach the main menu, and when it does, it just lags there for who knows how long before it finally finds a server for you. Don't bother.

BTW, Exactly how does it find a server for you? Does it just find the server with the lowest ping that's populated with slots left?

I am assumign that it picks out the best one for your area. So yeah i think it picks the best pinged one for you.

But it takes FOREVER because it scans each and every BF2 server,ranked or otherwise before it even starts on working out the closest one to you, and that could be run a 12 yearoldadmin, have 3 peoplein, be aknife&Pistol server or any other number of stupid padder havens.

There are alsopeople who think that this is the cause of the red name bug too.
