Crazy Sounds

Hi,

I have a realtek audio card, and I set my sound to hardware(since I have a 7.1 surround system). However, when set to hardware, there are tons of noises and everything is inaudible. I just downloaded the latest sound card drivers(i believe), but the problem still persists. It would be unexplainable if there was no fix for this, as I will not be able to fully use my 7.1 speakers if there is no fix. I'm sure there have been tons of complaints about this before, but after searching I have not found an answer. Does anyone know what can fix this?

Try setting it to software. That audio card is still considered saoftware I believe

SOunds like when i turn mine to hardware (im using the inbuilt sound) you do get a lot of extra sounds but their too loud or so soft and it just deosnt work. Try software.. but specs would help.
