    Call of Duty 2 is a perfect example 3 updates almost within weeks of each other and nothing for the PC for Months, try not to walk around with blinders on... Why do you think EA is doing Booster packs for 10$ or added content Like Steam for HL2 or Episodic Games like Sin... :laugh: For $$$

      Call of duty 2 is a horrible example.

      The updates the 360 version had so far were NEEDED. The game was laggy online, and didn't have simple features likes staying in a match when it ended to play the same people ect (not going through the hassle of finding a new match everytime one ended)

      Not to mention the PC version of cod2 DID just come out with 2 new maps, punkbuster ect. For FREE. While the next couple maps comming out for the 360 will cost you a grand total of $20!

      I did buy an xbox360. But right now i prefer my PC games. They're just better.

      What console are you getting? PS3/ Wii / 360? I really like my 360, but untill games like BIA Hells highway, or Halo3 come out (don't have a good enough pc to run it the way it's supposed to be ran) i'll be playing my PC.

            What if the kids name is Todd? Does he have to change it to Billy before he can play?:)

              I think people are missing the point, I am not saying the updates are the greatest or if they actually fix something, i'm just saying they do happen more frequently... Don't get me wrong i'm not gonna' get rid of my PC but I see what he's saying, Consoles are just easier... with PC upgrades happening almost quarterly it can be frustrating... New Video card, more RAM, Better CPU , Better PowerSupply, Better Mother Board and now they run even hotter and you have to go Water Cooled Case etc. etc. etc.

              Anywho, I know what yer saying and I don't blame you for making the switch.

                Being a developer I can tell you why it costs so much more to develop for PCs versus consoles. The cosoles have automated style developr packages, its so much easier than the open source nature of a PC game. Its a choice I guess, enjoy your 2 megs of audio ram on that POS Playstation2, lol.

                My consoles collect dust, except for my gamecube which my Wife and kids play mario with.

                Consoles are boring, and the online play sucks. Talk about fighting against a world of 7 year olds, lol.

                I have outdated gear on my machine, but I still own most of you. Its not about pure power, or else you kids with SLI 7800s and 4 gigs of ram would be able to catch me, which you cant, lol.

                Enjoy your console games, nothing like hanging out in the kiddie pool, lol.

                  Played online games since Ghost Recon, Mohaa and the rest and honestly I've basically had enough of playing against people that just have no balls basically to fight with abit of sportsmenship. Like the people who use the easiest means to kill people.
                  Ghost Recon=OICW
                  Mohaa=Stgg 44
                  BF2=planes and choppers:p
                  I know PC gaming is alot more intense than consoles but I've had enough of it and fancy relaxing with a console now like I used to do before I set my eyes on Operation Flashpoint.
                  Anyone else felt the same?
                  Pity to see you go...

                  have you considered using the pc for online gaming other that fps's ?? try some rts or a bit X3...there is more to a pc than pointing a gun you know

                  come back and check on the pc community when huxley and quake wars comes out though.....

                  also go for the ps3... 1080P output if your tv is up to it (im getting one when they come out mainy because i refuse to line bill gates pockets with any of my hard eared cash...) and the ps3 will have GT5 and thats a reason in itself )

                  .

                      Re: Leaving PC gaming for console.

                      The main reason PC gaming is superior: customizability. The console is not customizable at all, you get a system are stuck with it untill a new system comes out. You get games that can't be tweaked to your own wishes and will have no support for user created content. The online part of consoles is only just started and isn't as advanced or broadly supported as online PC gaming (everything is under Microsofts control and with the PS3 probably Sony).

                        I have GRAW on 360 its lame. The multiplayer isnt playable... The FPS you get in MP is like 20 and below a average.

                          Do you think you would get that with consoles ? I'm not a console kinda guy, but I suspect its pretty much the same over that side of the fence.

                            Yes. If you've ever played halo2 online it's for sure not 'sportsmenship' like. Don't expect to get much of it from xbox live. That's why i only stick with my friends or good friends i've got to know online.

                              PS2 online is free.

                              Some fps games are really good on ps2, e.g Black. And PS2 has top games like time splitters 2, Dynasty warriors 3 and up, def jam, final fantasy x etc.
