i generally revive at the head/shoulder area and it works just about every time...maybe that sweet-spot was inside a wall or somthing, making it all the more difficult/near impossible

Nah, I just use the defib over the knife when I'm medic because of it's superior range (although reload can be bitchy).

I got 530 knife kills :p

wow. yeah, i don't use the defib over knife ev4r. But since i've got the knife badge, I don't see why not start using the defib. Though i'm not playing medic as much lately.

It would be much higher if I stopped going for those "stuck on the stairs/half their body is through the flag pole" revives.

Sometimes they work; sometimes there is nothing you can do...

One tip on revives though, maybe it's just me but "prone revives" has never seemed to be a smart tactic in my opinion.

I came to BF2 from RTCW and "drive-by revives" were the bread and butter (so to speak) in that game, and I've found it to be the most successful means for reviving in BF2 as well (a variation of it at least).

As in, you sprint towards them and just as you are about to overrun their body, dip (crouch) just enough to break your forward momentum (and allow usage of the fire key) then quickly dash on.

They key being, you don't want to be a stationary target for more than a millisecond.
