    no voip

hello. I am unable to get my VOIP to work. My mic works in other apps, just not in BF2. It used to work, then BAM! nothing. The green arrow comes up but nothing.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Chris

ensure your mic is not muted in your audio properties (CP > SOund and Audio Devices). Also try chaning your acceleration to basic in dxdiag

Start > run > dxdiag > sound > switch slider to basic > exit, open bf2 try again

i think the muting the mic prevents u from hearing urself and it shouldnt affect voip..so leave it muted

I agree, muting should have no affect on it. Leave it muted so your voice doesn't come over the speakers. I am having the same problem. It works great in teamspeak, but after I installed a new ASRock mb and chip, and formatted and reinstalled everything on a Raptor 74gb 10k rpm, now VOip doesn't work. I'm using the crappy onboard audio at the moment. It worked great in my Asus mb with a p4 2.6.

So I'm trying to decide which audio card to buy next to fix this and be able to move my audio settings above low.

same with me however, if you try again like 15 minutes later it works...
Also others can use it and I can't at times. Makes no sense...as if voip takes turns on who's allowed to speak LOL

Here is another oddity, I cannot use V but the B works fine...go figure...
But remember you have to be in a squad in order to use V, me thinks..

In all I think this problem is server side...

                    Re: no voip

Most of it is probably server side issues.

I found that my voip will not work half the time if I have teamspeak turned off. Even if I just open teamspeak up and not connect to a teamspeak server, my ingame voip works fine. Weird, but my ingame VOIP works if my TS is running.
