i have been trying to get my a-d ribbon for ages now and cant seem to get it!!!, has anyone got good tips on how to get it, like what map and how many players, any tips would be nice:) thanks

Wake is a great map that is nice and open and I can guaruntee there will always be several flight units in the air :)
Air-Defense units are positioned all over the island. Just find one that is near the majority of their flight paths, and bingo, light em up

Yeah I do.

I played dragon valley last week. US were getting beaten to a pulp at the docks and the carrier, but we managed to push out and take the river village (Ithink it is called, first flag south of the docks).

A Linebacker spawns there. Since I couldn't get a tank or anything, I picked it, and headed south towards the farmhouse, (again,i think it called that).

A bunch of Z-10 choppers would present themselves on their way to the carrier, and I made short work of them with my plentiful missiles. On top of that, plenty of fully loaded FAVs showed up to politely get pasted by my main cannon.

Only things you will need to watch, is your ammo, and your armour status. Go engineer, and get a friend to go support, or get some commander crates.

The server hadn't registered my rank or badges, so I got them all again that round. Air defense ribbon, basic engineer combat, basic repair, air defense badge... good conduct ribbon... heaps in one round.

like wat someone said..wake island is a pretty good map..helis and jets are everywhere (friendly or not :))

Duh. just pad like i did. lol, i'm joking ( i don't even have that ribbon :cry: ). Wake is probably your best bet. try using the Carrier's AA guns.

I make a habit of flying SEAD as China (suppression of enemy air defenses).

I can't imagine how frustraited people get after locking me with a couple of stingers, to see them chase my flares, followed by staring wide eyed as my bombs fall on their SAM site.

I got both of my basic and veteran air defense, and the ribbon also on Oman. It's alot easier to nock migs down than the j-10's on Wake or Dalian. At that time I ranked something around 300th in the world in air defense. I've had luck also playing as Navy Seal on Iron Gator. That is even easier, but by then I already had my ribbon and badges. I haven't played air defense in a while.

Bradley on Dragon Valley is how I got mine, got my vet as commander though

Whenever I get a chance to use the air defense on Wake, I get bombed by a J-10 or F-35 5 seconds later.

I got mine in Sharqi, the US helicopter kept coming over to our base where the MEC chopper is and killing everyone, so I just sat on the stinger, and they kept coming over constantly, so I kept blowing them up, got like 18 kills in the round with the Stinger or is it the IGLA? either way its air defence, but sometimes people who want to base rape work to your advantage :). If they had any sense they would go round the back way and come over the mountain, or the gunner could have fired a TV missile from a distance, but im not complaining since I got the ribbon . But yeah I have 326 kills and 102 deaths in Air defence, only from Stingers and IGLA really since I never really used the linebacker.
