Unlocking weapons in Singleplayer

So there is no way to unlock weapons in singleplayer? That seems really stupid. I can't believe EA only made unlocking weapons available for multiplayer.

Thats because singleplayer isn't ranked. You can't get points, and thus, can not rank up, and cannot get the unlocks. I don't want to see someone play for 5 hours offline against bots on easy, and then come online with every weapon unlocked.

even when the bots are on expert, they are extremely easy, and im not that good or anything either. Ill get 100+ points in single player on expert, then I go into a ranked server and ill get owned =)

I understand that, but why not keep the unlocked weapons you earned from working however many hours online to use on singleplayer. It almost starts to seem like singleplayer is useless. Sure you can kind of practice, there is no other incentive to play it. Also does the bf64 patch work after the 1.22 patch? When I try to run it, bf2 dissapears when I click join game. I guess it's crashing, I don't recieve a error message, the game just dissapears and closes.
