  • Quick Helo piloting question

Well, I've been reading and looking at a lot of helicopter hints and tricks videos trying to better myself, but there's one thing Im constatly getting confused by: Excatly where to line up your helo for your gunner so the enemy is centered in his TV missle screen. See picture below...

I had always thought I was supposed to line them up with the one, maybe im right but im not sure, and if im wrong, Im not really helping out my gunners.

It's different for every chopper, rather than explain each one i'll just link to sob.

Is it still the same say when the horizontal lines are very far apart from the crosshair, or does it stay near the horizontal line....If you get what I mean.

the horizontal line is the artificial horizon so you can check your pitch..

To quickly answer your question: I believe that for the MEC helo to line up your gunner for the TV missile shot, imagine that his crosshair is about half an inch below yours, for the PLA helo, it should almost be spot onto your crosshair, and for the USMC, it seems to be just a little off, but almost on the crosshair.

In any case, your gunner should be able to deal with a slight deviation in his view, your gunner should be able to do his part as long as you can line him up so that the target is at least in view.

point 3 is about the best
(I have more than 20,000 driver assist points -
so I must have my aim down pretty good :P)

I have little time in the Tiger Helo
the aim point is different for the gunner'e guns
he cannot see as low as in other choppers

The apache tv view is basically on top of the gunner view br, the hind is below it a bit...

Cobra and Z-10 are closer to 2, and the MEC is closest to 3.
