Consider for a moment adding that two new game modes to the game: CTF and 'Supply- line'. Now consider all the new tactics that you'll have to make up for these new modes. I think adding these two modes, with only a small modification to the code, would bring new life to this game.
Now CTF could be implemented like this:
Instead of having an actual 'flag' that the person carries, have a special jeep that always shows up on your UAV for both sides. This special jeep ONLY spawns at your main base uncappable flag. So only maps like Daqing Oilfields, FuShe Pass and Zatar Wetlands can use this mode.
Other maps could be modified to use this mode if each side's main base is uncappable.
'Supply-line' could be implemented like this:

In the above USMC has to take Hotel FIRST, then Square, etc...
That means the flag at Square will not move until there the flag at the Hotel is at 100% USMC.
Sometimes in 'Supply-line' you can make choices. An example would be when USMC owns Train Station. They can either take the Gatehouse or the Cement Factory. But USMC can't take the Warehouse until they own BOTH the Cement Factory and the Gatehouse.
You can still have people go to other flags, to prevent people from setting up, but you can't do like you would normally in Conquest mode where you would attack back bases.
When the server administrators select a map to play, they will also select the mode in which that map will be played. So you could have 'Strike at Karkand' in Conquest (like today), and then followed immediately by 'Strike at Karkand' in 'Supply- line' mode.
Adding these modes would definately add a whole new way of playing the game that I think will definiately enjoyable.
