Battlefield 1942 had the capture the flag mode, and it was probably most popular game mode. Youd think that since it was so popular they would bring it into bf2 but i guess EA really doesnt pay attention to what we like, probably make the game then forget about it. but would it be possible to put that into an upcoming patch?

Re: Battlefield 2 CTF?
Here's how you simulate capture the flag.
Have two guys who make alt accounts named "Red Flag" and "Blue Flag". Have each spawn at their main bases and get into the passenger seat of a vehicle there (like a buggy or jeep).
They are now your 'flags'...get into the vehicle and get it your teams base flag alive. If your flag 'dies' then he'll respawn at his team's main flag and then get into the same vehicle again...rinse and repeat.

The upcoming patch will include COOP though.

Originally posted by FoxenThis is not even true. An investigation by DICE showed us how many servers there was running CTF, and it was like 1-3%. Conquest is the most popular mode by far. That's why they scrapped it.

Ye CTF in its basic form was naff on bf1942. Im sure if they made some changes to the concept it would fit in bf2. Like maybe swap the flag to a vehicle...maybe have numerous flag vehicles and they all have to be brought back.
Id rather see that supply lines game mode.

I'd have to agree that Conquest was by far the most played, but Coop really isn't anything new in BF2, it already existed, just unofficially.
