Tip: how to recognize a stats padder

Just check his favorite victim's favorite victim, and if his name is there, there is 90% chance that he/she is stats padder. On top of that, if they both have gold knife or pistol badge, the certainty goes to 99%. And if they both belong to the same clan, there is your BINGO. You'll see plenty of these people (admins too) still ranking high on the board and nobody cares. Maybe stats padding is OK after all. Don't bother reporting neither, screen shots are useless evidence in most of the cases.

See I agree that this usually indicates stat padding, but the clan thing is what could explain it. I know in my clan we play against each other often when trying to get our server going. Usually there are juist enough of us to get it going, so the rounds can last a long time, hence we kill each other a hell of a lot!

So yes it usually indicates this, but don't forget examples like mine to prove that is not a universal thing.

Sorry for the false accusations. I though prerequisite to become a stats padder is to join a clan. I guess I may be wrong. There are honest exceptions out there.

The point is that there is no point to play when nobody gives a sh!t if you cheat or you are being honest and stupid, since most of the cheaters still haven't been touched. As I wrote earlier somewhere, while EA is tolerating this, the rest of us honest fools can band over and grab our ankles.

The post was addressed to the noobs that have joined in the past couple of months or so, and stil don't know about all the sh!it that is happening behind the scenes. So just because you know, don't assume that everybody else does.

I tend not to cre..cause its a game..and Im not in a race..and I dont get **** from badges..and, well many many other reasons not to give a f*ck about anyone but my own stats in BF2

exactly..but I dont understand why we worry about other people..cheating yes aka hacks etc..
but padding..meh..Ill never #1 so why shoudl I care..I look at my own legit stats and think about them..I never bother comparing or tryign to be liek someone elses stats.

What Battlefield 2 are you guys playing that is infested with cheaters? I bought the game since it came out and played it more or less constantly since then through all the patches and I think I've only ever seen 1 cheater. And why do you guys care about stat padders? How do they ruin the game when other players stats don't affect yours?
