  • Changing textures and removing overgrowth

I started off with a grassy texture, but now i would like to change it to sand, i've changed all the things in the layer 1 tweaker window but when i come to paint nothing happens, also i cannot erase the previous texture.

Secondly i put some overgrowth in so my map would load but i'd like to remove/change it, how can this be done?

I sorted the texture thing, i didn't have the right view in the render drop down, i still haven't figured out the overgrowth thing, anyone got any ideas?

to remove overgrowth, do as u did when u painted overgrowth,(in render drop down click overgrowth view then also click draw overgrowth then u can with the mouse button repaint/remove the overgrowth u dont need, after u have done this look to the right tweak area and scroll down to u see generated all etc click it, then after that just go and a very quick light render in medium, then your good to go

How do you add grass/overgrowth/undergrowth? It keeps saying please select a material. I cant figure it out.

This will explain it better than I can http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showp...6&postcount=29

I think grass is classed as undergrowth, i haven't added any yet. I hope this helps, another good forum is http://bfeditor.org/forum/index.php

go to the tweak window, click where it says material, (I think you may have to right click it) then add material, then pick one of the color patches and name it, then go to tweak again, add grass.... there are tutuorials on this and all other parts of making a map here: http://bfeditor.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4538

Best if you read the tutorials, rather than creating a new thread here for every question you have.
