Re: [MOVIE]The Sir. Community Presents: Warlord!

I've mentioned this before in the thread in the Sir. community forum, but ill explain these two parts.

The reason for this is quite simply that they were on a peace keeping mission, they had no reason to believe that they were going to be shot, this is also why the black hawk was shot down. They were not in a war zone so had no reason to believe that there was any immediate danger.

This is common practice for almost all SAS missions if you read up on any SAS missions (of you can find them) you will find that a lot of the time they will go on foot to the randivu point, there are even some cases where they have to walk to the border before being picked up.

The reason for this is quite simple, it attracts less attention and you become harder to find.

Thanks for the good feedback, I will be sure to work on all those things.

And Eden with this many people questioning it, we probably should have explained it more in the movie, but it was a lesson learned.

Yes true is should have been explained better, I guess Ive just picked it all up after watching it 8+ times

There was the obvious sound problems, although for the most part it was good the main thing that I noticed was music ending when it should have taken longer to fade out.

Camera movements.. Well I would actualy say they were very vell done some people are suggesting they were a bit exstatic but I say it felt as if I was there. Although steady cam shots could have been better.

It seems those issues would have been better explained with some backstory and voice acting (hard to come by I know) or some subtitles or something.

Re: [MOVIE]The Sir. Community Presents: Warlord!

I don't think Sir member should be allowed to review their own movies - not being personal, or harsh here, it just seems useless.

Another thing aboiut the APC incident. You could clearly see RPG guys all around, which doesn't happen in real life. Guys armed with rifles, yes, but not with grenade launcher. Also, the "driver" was walking up to the Insurgent with his F2000 aimed through the scope - weird... It should've been an Engineer with a wrench - would've seemed more natural. And guards don't usually aim at your head - the guy is usually pointed in a safe direction.

So even after so many things wrong with it, why didn't the crew react after the driver got shot, they could still point the turret at the bastards and show 'em hell. Instead, they just got out(the movie didn't even show that, they just popped out of nowhere) and ran for their lives?! Again, they all had weapons.
            ---------------------------------------------------------------

            Some more things I noticed.

When the blackhawk gets hit, it is already smoking/on fire before even the first rocket hit the helicopter. But the next 1-2sec scene shows that it's not smoking... also weird.

When the 2 left SAS "wake up", after a good introduction, the scene changes extremely fast and they are already shooting. If they are the SAS, why didn't they take cover positions?! Like any soldier would do.. Instead, they just sit there and shoot like idiots :)

Also in that scene, the insurgents weren't introduced to us very well. No "Jihad!, Jihad!" type of thing, or even a small preview of them getting ready. They just appear out of nowhere and even one of them gets close(~3ft) to the SAS and misses. "WTF?"

Now, the scene where the SAS are on the Quads and the really good music is playing, got really my blood pumping, but after that, the music just cuts off, and messes up the whole mood. In a bad way. Should've made a better music transition there, and also this next song didn't suit the scene too well.

Now, when the SAS get into the room and KILL two Insurgents, after we see the Warlord, one of the SAS shoots the camera - and there is another mistake. We can see the insurgent(s) standing next to the SAS guy...

After that, it's pretty good except for the camera angles. But the last scene is not so well made. We can clearly see Insurgents shooting from the rooftops of the contruction area. But after the car blows up, they magically disappear and SAS get away?! What happened there?!

And I know that you already pointed out about the ditching of the car, but it really didn't make sense at all. The car was perfectly parked on the side of the road, it wasn't even stuck in the ditch. So why would they get out. Again, what happened to the insurgents that where shooting at them...

The last scene should've been stretched out a lot longer, showing an extraction like in Stunts of Oman(btw, that scene was awesome). And SAS flying away. It was way too "cut off". It was really an unexpected ending.

p.s.: You can check out some more of my review on the "front page thread".

There is a pluging for WMP I think but i would suggest getting VLC (first result in google) as it will play anything and everything.
