I think the spawn points in this game are pretty awful. About 90% of my frustration from playing bf2 comes from spawning and being killed instantly without being given time to react.
Take the lower dam flag on Kubra Dam. I think there are 4 random spawn points at this flag. Two of the points are outside the dam ramp behind the boxes and the second two are directly next to the flag (either side - behind the boxes also). Spawning at the latter two points means if the enemy is trying to capture that flag you have very little chance of surviving if A) there's more than one enemy capturing the flag and B) the enemy is in a tank/apc. You might stand a chance if B) is the case and you happen to be anti tank or spec ops. Otherwise, your only option is to run or (as is the case most times) die the second you spawn.
This game would be far more better if they'd given more thought to spawn points. How about some safer spawn points that don't plonk you within 10 feet of the flag and therefore the enemy?? The Chinese air base on wake island is a good example, lots of open space and plenty of safe places to spawn at - as random spawning is.
Anyway, what does everyone else think?
