VOIP- Problems Fix In Here Pic tutorial

Hi Guys first of all I wana say Sorry for my bad spelling,

This Tutorial Should Help Sum of You With VOIP problem.

Ok let's begin

1. Click Start Go to Run and type In dxdiag Should look like this



Click Ok Now Big Window will open up go to Sounds Tab Like you see Below, Then go to Hardware Sound Acceleration Level And change it to Basic Acceleration Pic will explain Below



Hit Save All Information Go in game and you should have VOIP working.

make sure you have VOIP Enabled in menue And set it up first In VOIP setup


I Hope this will help sum of you who are having truble with it, if you still having truble after that, please post up below and I will see what I can do to help you reslove this issue. Peace Boris

Lol is pretty much the same i just wanted to mess with you all the people have is 2 sound tabs not 1 one for there sound card the other for the usb headset like so



nothing really gained but there could be some idiot that will be all like OH MY IT WON"T work and not even look in the right tab =p......

Or another way is Control pannel> Sounds and audio devices Looking like this

Did this, it was already set to full acceleration....

My mic works for ventrilo and TS, but not for VOIP, any ideas?

No u have to change From Full to Basic Acceleration hit save all information Go ingame and Enjoy your VOIP

This has helped Tons of people

As long as you set it up right first and have the VOIP Enabled In options

My mic never worked. Then I bought a Turtle beach surround sound headphones with a mic attached. Now it works. I think my 5.1 in my office wouldn't allow the mic to work.

It has to be the headphones and mic. There is nothing wrong with the old mic.

It has to be the headphones and mic. There is nothing wrong with the old mic.

Nothing to do with Mic bro its the settings in your dxdiag f My Mic never worked, or it would work for 10 secs and thats it Speaker would vanish ingame,

All the methods above has fixed My problem by simply changing Settings in dxdiag.

I can vouch for this! Before I got my current sound card, I was using the onboard audio and couldnt get the mic to work. Changing that setting in dxdiag did it for me. Thanks for the tutorial...

Same issue here - then someone on these forums mentioned that they had their output settings for surround sound software set up for 6 speaker configuration. He suggested I change from the 6 speaker config to headphone cofiguration and try again. Sure enough, the mic then worked and the 6 speakes kept right on working. I also had to turn on mic boost bloody well everywhere mic boost is offered (dxdiag, advanced settings on systray speaker icon, surround sound software, BF2)

My Mic was blocked as soon as I set my virtual 5.1 emulator to 6 speakers. As soon as I changed the settings back to "headphones" my mic was available to use.

VOIP in game has never worked for me. Whether my mic works for VOIP in game I don't know. I've never been able to hear the other players talking though. Thats the problem I've always had. But everything is enabled in my options. Anyone know wtf is up with this?

We should have a section for voip issues (yeah under support mebbe) and get tutorial posts like the one above in there. It is a frequent enough problem to make it worthwhile. I will try to put together my experiences in a tutorial format and post them. It was a real PITA to figure out what affects what. Sifting through tons of sites and software did nothing more than confuse me 8)
