Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was a way of fixing/ speeding up the "verifying client data" after the map has loaded???

More RAM would increase the time... HD speed... Or play on linux server's without the green monitor (content check) :)

So you actually mean the more RAM the less time it would take?? You actually say it will increase?

yup... i run with 2 GB, it still takes a few seconds, but alot better than less ram e.g 1024 RAM...

To varify, make sure you have your HDD in good condition (defrag it), and a good connection.

I was under the impression that when it was verifying client data, it was reading the content from the HDD in your BF2 folder; which would mean it wouldn't matter how much ram you had just how fast your HDD was.
Am I wrong?

No you are right, the Server checks you BF2 folder against what it should be, if there are any differences then it doesnt let you play. Ther better your HSS is and the more regular that you defrag it and the better you internet connection is, the faster the verification will go. For general load times, yes more RAM will help.

Now got SATA2 RAID and 2MB connection & its loads quicker. Regularly get on within the first 4 peeople.
