If a player who has a lower rank applies for the commander position (generally before but also coinciding with the time delay as) when a higher ranked player also applies can usually get the commander position somehow even though it is supposed to be impossible. The message that is displayed on the higher ranked players client says "A player with a higher rank has filled the commander position" even though it was a player of a lower rank, and that is impossible.

Seen this quite a few times to be honest, even when I am one of the first ingame to spply.
Sometimes there would even be a 20 second gap but then I would lose commander to a first Sgt.or something when I'm Captain.
