We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I have started to play as Engineer more and more, and something I miss, is points for defuse AT mines, and AP mines aswell. During the beggining of a round at Karkand you can remove up to 20 AT mines to make path for the armour. But you do not get any points for that.
It would be great if EA/DICE would add points for removing mines, perhaps more people would do it.
I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before, not too say it's not a good idea, and thanks Dandy for bringing it up again. Sadly, Dice didn't hear the communities requests before, maybe DP should move this thread over to the DICE section - heh
If you only got points from disarming an enemy mine it wouldn't be any easier to pad than present badges.
Hahha instead of kill/revive, you could have arm/disarm padders.
It would be eaiser. Have 2 engineers cooperating. Both drop all their mines, and defuse the other's mines. Sounds much eaiser than all the current methods. That way both padders would be earning points at the same time.
The whole "limiting points to prevent padding" scenario is a bit dubious. If you're disarming mines, it's universely good for your team to remove obstacles that teammates can get killed by. In the event of obvious padding where you and an enemy meet at some non-combat location away from the frontlines so that he can drop mines (get resupplied) and you disarm, it would be no different than obvious revive-knife-revive-knife padding. The only real way to stop it is for the admin to put his foot down and ban the guilty parties from the server.
The same really applies for ammo/health points too, since placing a limit on doesn't really have any detterent effect.
But on topic, I think disarming points sound like a good supplement to repair points. Perhaps they can be added to the expert wrench badge. :)
