Weird and interesting commander idea.

So i just had a weird thought.

Who thinks it would be cool if the commander (and only him) could enter the UAV trailer, like a vehicle that doesnt move. But he could sit in there to be protected from general gunfire (except glass penetrating ammo) and C4 would of course kill him.

could have made this post in the "commander vehicle" thread but ah well. Its a nice idea

Actually, when I first started playing this game (and learning in SP), I thought that in order to use the UAV you had to be in the trailer.

Heck, I spent 3 weeks playing the demo before switching to the real thing, And I only found out when I bought the full game that you could get to the commander screen with caps instead of using T all the time (In the demo i was convinced that a commander is best in a jet as he can get to anywhere on the map quickly and order supplies/uav/arty there with T)

In the demo, I kept walking up to the door and hitting the "E" key...

A lot of people did in the demo days.
There were quite a few threads about this when the game was released.

Neat idea. It would cut down on the number of commanders tying up vehicle assets from the team just so that they can wrack up hours.

intersting idea but remember he should die from anything that make the trailer get destroyed and any weapon will destroy it with enough use, also when the trailor is damaged the UAV should get a sccrambled picture!

I would much rather hide as commander away from my assets, but close enough to repair them. I would certainly not want to die everytime somebody decided to c4 the UAV....

i guess if i were commanding in this fashion id have to be a sniper and lay clays round the UAV truck
