How do I use the mods?

I'm not sure if I'm in the correct forum, but how do you play on a modded server/map? What would I have to download, etc.?

For starters I recommend Mercenaries mod.

my question is how do u upload it like ill download them from filecloud then i dont know where to save it and then from there how do u run it. Can somone point this out to me. I got the tb2 mappack 3 cause it was a install but i cant get the other maps. plz help me out

I don't recommend downloading to or altering any of the files in the BF2 mod directory. Doing so can sometimes screw up your online MP.

I recommend creating a new mod and then moving the downloaded maps into your new mod\levels folder.

For example:

1. Create new mod folder under C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\YourNewMod

2. Copy contents of the BF2 mod into YourNewMod folder

3. Download the map file and right click to unzip to your desktop. Then move the map's info folder and server.zip file into an existing map folder or if it is a new map such as Vulcan Island then copy the entire unzipped folder to the levels folder.

For example:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\YourNewMod\Levels\Vulcan_Island
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\YourNewMod\Levels\Strike_at_Karkand

4. Create shortcut on your desktop pointing to your new mod

For example: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/YourNewMod

5. Launch game using your shortcut, choose Single Player, and your will see the maps.
