We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
If aimbots are running that rampant all over this game, then sshot a message board or website literally showing a list of publically available ones that declare they pass pb. Just edit out the URL and the website name, simple as that. You won't find much, not even as much for CS now days at there used to be in its prime days of hack creations, not even a considerable fraction.
Hell, if PB is that easy to pass, make a bot yourself, do a private video, pm the video to me of you on a public server showing it beating the current version of PB. PB doesn't stop anything, so all the old tried and true tricks should still work and you can get info on how to use those items on the same sites that push crap out for other games.
I believe i was talking about all cheats not just aimbots. In fact the aimbot for bf2 is imo the hardest to pull off with great success. Also, im not going to post screen shots of any hacks, mention any names, or in any way lead others to obtain that garbage.
PB dosesnt stop anything in the sense that the small effort they put out is dwarfed by drive of a cheater, to cheat an online game ESPICALLY where stats are ranked. Whats better to a nerd like that? To sit back with proof, in his mind, that hes a good player. Thats the driving force and the problem. If somebody was cheating and being outright about it, their mindset is to be an ass and cause problems. A nerd will cheat because he wants people he doesnt know to think that he is good, and for the blind personality boost that comes along with seeing your name on a scoreboard.
The point ill continue to make is that somebody that is LIKE that ..is going to share a general pattern because its very obvious to me, after playing the unhealthy ammout of games as i do, exactly what to look for in matters of the game physics ..as well as the personality of the one in question. A guilty cheater, being the nerd he is, will always love to nerd word battle his accuser. As i said before "its not cheat you just suck" is the most popular battle cry of these tards. It shifts blame away from the cheater and puts the idea into the minds of the usually ignorant population of a server, admins included, that this is just a cry baby. Whatever sometimes it is ..thats a valid point too but more times than not ..the people i see calling cheat have a good understanding of exactly whats going on and are usuauly citing specific events and sure enough when i look ..most of the time im seeing a cheater too.
holy crap! top players have 20-25% accuracy?!?!? **** my accuracy is 25.12%, too bad i dont spend my whole day playing the game otherwise id be at the top by now eh?
btw, medic class with the g36 owns anyone and anything infantry-wise. two bursts and everyone gets at least one in the head
My brother and I play a lot (he kicks major ass) and I think that it is funny when players try to kick you for "cheating/aimbot/hacker" when you just have a very low ping and have played enough to learn how to spot people and get the jump on them. I dont cheat, hever have, never will, The few that I have seen got kicked really fast. Its not a problem for me. They will get whats coming to tham eventually. Just think how bad they are without their cheat. That ought to calm you down.
I remember a thread (not sure if it was this forum?) where someone posted a screenshot which they didn't twig showed their hack! I think it was the colour one mentioned at the end of this thread? They then went back and changed the screenshot slightly to hide the fact but by then it was too late.

I should take a picture of the out of business gas station right off one of our main strips, it is a sad reminder of gas prices and also makes you laugh as you wonder how many 'out of towners' get a woody for a split second as they see the gas marked at $1.29 a gallon and then pull in to see that it is closed. It is seriously comical, because even though they are closed, the sign still lights up at nite and the lights are on in the empty store lol. If I remember, I'll take a pic today on my way to Home Depot.

We were evacuating for hurricane ivan and i saw some ritch bitch in a porche(if she can spend that much money on a car than i think she can fford gas) pull up to it and try to use it. My family and I were laughing so hard. some skinny blonde in a porch trying to be cheap and trying to get gas at a place thats been run down for almost a year. lol funny stuff.

There isn't even much in the way of all cheats. Seriously, take a look around, the only hacks that are out there are private or 'pay for', it is not some widespread plague that the gaming world had seen several years ago in most multiplayer games. The reason there isn't a lot out there is the fact that a lot of the common hooks and injections that people used are no longer available, common multi game tools used for memory editing like tsearch/codecave/olly no longer work. Most people are having to use private ways or api hacks that will get them globally screwed and hardware banned if caught.
And you have to remember, PB is just a company with a few people taking on hundreds (if not thousands) of people that are trying to circumvent it with their own unique ideas, sound easy to you? Not to me. I used to help out on an anti cheat program for a different game, it is not nearly as easy as you think (Tactical Ops Server Admin Tool my name is at the bottom under Other Contributors). Saying PB is useless is like saying 'Why bother with an antivirus or firewall, a lot of virii and trojans get past them programs when their first released, so what is the point?'
And, there are two kinds of cheaters, your right about one of them. The kind of cheater that just downloads someone else's cheats are just trying to get noticed or be a griefer. And then there is the kind that make the cheats, they make them because the game is beating the system.
I've been playing games online since AvP was released, so it isn't like I don't notice when the cr*p is out there. And it is a lot easier for me to spot the crap that is out there when I used to help out with trying to stop the sh*t, I've seen what is out there and how many people are trying to get past the system versus the small amount of people that are trying to create and maintain one. If you think it is that easy to cover all the different ways into one individual game, then you can go ahead and make your own anti cheat tool for this game, let me know how it works out.
Other than that, there is no point debating this as I know your mind is fully set on being disappointed with the anti cheat tools in this game and your not going to be convinced otherwise.
The reason why people accused of hacking on a pub server reply with the "I'm not hacking, you just suck." replay is because they are sick and tired of scrubass noob players such as yourself accusing them of doing something shady. There are people that are good at this game, and basically put your "skill" level to shame. Deal with it. There is ALWAYS someone that is better than you, instead of whining about it, get better yourself and quit looking for excuses (ie: hacking) as to why your ass got owned.
IVfluids would always own me in DC and BF2 (when he played (lol)) in dogfighting. I thought I was pretty decent at it. Does that make him a hacker? Absolutely not. He was/is just better at it than me. What did I do? Put more time into it.
After reading this entire thread... and many others like it on forum boards such as this .. it's not too difficult to see there are many opinions out there of varying degree.
However it also ins't very hard to spot when some one is making sense and others just want to argue.
I am a proffesional too in Electronics, software, networking, game design ,etc as well as some others on this very board and have spent my fair share of hours gaming even before PB. Im 40yrs old and have seen alot thus far and am sure there is plenty more to see when it comes to people wanting to over come the system.
So with all due respect I just wanted to say that I think Blood has valid points and is being more sensible than the basic "go away noob" enthusiasts that seem to infest discussions like this one.
I myself even feel compelled to enter the argument.. although its a mute one at that.. its merely a discussion that wont change anything other than pinpoint where people stand on the issues. The cheaters will continue on, the players will complain as well as companies combat those cheaters and players will combat the complainers or people that attack there well being.
It's the vicious cirlce of life and in some cases a proving ground for some that need to prove they exist in this world of competition. Wheter it be via a cheat or playing many hours or joining clans to get the edge they need.
But none the less.. go on Blood your right they are wrong and they are right when you are wrong.. but at least you make valid points that I can agree with.
