I though of this last night while flying with my 'new' joystick.
When I'm flying around in a chopper/jet it is very important that I be able to quickly check my rear to make sure I'm not about to be blow out of the sky and then switch back to my nose camera. The problem is that there are only two ways to switch camera views. One is to assign a button to each view and change it that way. The other is to cycle through all camera views.
Now my problem is that I don't have enough buttons on my joystick to have all the functions I need (afterburner, flare, fire, alt fire, eject) and the cameras that I use. I though I could fix it by assigning the cycle camera to one of my joystick buttons, but what happens is that I try to switch my camera views too quickly and miss the one I wanted.
I only really use two camera angles regularly (noce camera and 3rd person rear view) and sometimes I use 3rd person front view. I never use fly by or the default camera angles. What would make life alot easier for me is if I could choose what camera angles I am able to cycle to.
For example, I get into a chopper and get the default view. I hit the cycle camera button to get my nose camera and take off. Now, since I only have two camera angles activated (in the control panel), everytime I hit the cycle camera button, I just switch back and forth between the two cameras that I actually want to see instead of having to flip though 3 useless view everytime I want to get back to the nose camera.
If I wanted to use the other camera angles, I can still use the specific buttons assigned to them, but since I rarely need then, having them in the camera cycle just don't make sense.
