      Re: Wrt54g + Qos

The Router's QoS (Quality of Service) feature lets you define how much of the available bandwidth each of the devices on your network will get. This means that you can prioritize time-sensitive data like VoIP phone calls or streaming media ahead of less sensitive email and web surfing. The dual Internet ports let you optionally connect a second Internet line for additional bandwidth.

In other words you can tell the router that when you play battlefield on a specific port. It should first prioritize bf2 and then all other.

No meaningful input other than to say that I have a wrt54gs, and that (now that you've brought it to my attention) I may tinker with qos. That might help my echo on my VOIP telephone.

        Thanks, though. Sorry couldn't help!

I rec dling the latest firmware, especialy if you have a version 5.

Version 5's use VxWorks as the o.s., earlier models use Linux.

Some of the early v5 firmware had various issues.

The firmware updates are available at Linksys,

If you cant find your answer here check the Linksys forum at Dsl Reports,
