i can never get my mic to work, and i never hear anyone, i know ur supposed to press b, and i do, but they cant hear me..no, my mic isnt on mute, or its not broken..please help!

make sure ur on a server with voip and when u press B do u see that lil speaker icon on the left of ur screen appear?

Is it USB or a jack like a headphone jack.

If it's USB it has to be plugged in before you start BF2.

try this

go start -> run

type

dxdiag

and hit enter, then goto "sound" tab and move the "Hardware Acceleration" slider to Basic :) hit exit and go ingame

for conscript:yea, the green speaker or red speaker pops up when i press
for poisen:yes, its usb. and its usually always pluged in.

go into options then audio and make sure voip is enabled. Also if it is a USB mic and you plug it in after the game has launched it might not work. Test the mic with XP recorder or another VOIP program. If it works then make sure VOIP is on in options and you select a server with the little headset icon on the left.
