Anyone else have this problem with the stupid server browser?

When I click the refresh button on the favourites page nothing happens. It won't let me refresh my favourite servers at all. Also the scrollbar scrolls but the list doesn't move. This all used to work so I'm wondering if it's just me.

try unchecking some of your filters. not sure if they fixed it or not, but that used to cause problems if you had x amount of them checked, the browser would get broke.

time for them to get away from gamespy's crappy browser and develop one that functions, like the UT series.

I'll try your solution. The only server browser I've ever been happy with is the Steam one, and even it is pretty lacking. I don't know why it's so hard to make a server browser that conforms to standard user interface guidelines...

Tribes 2 had the best server browser ever.
Infact, it had a lot of elements that were the best ever.
Very strange that so long after that game came out, the industry still hasn't clued into the things they did.

It was far from a flop. The 3rd game was... but that's mostly because it didn't follow it's own franchise standards. T2 had it's own share of problems, tho. Pushed out too early and needed a bunch of patches before it became playable. It really didn't help that Sierra desolved the dev group (Dynamix) 2 weeks after launch and didn't have anyone left in-house that really knew the engine.

I still recomend it to anyone who's got any interest in game design tho. It's the best designed FPS ever released, IMHO.

It's pretty funny that even after "practicing" with BF:1942 & BF:V (and failing miserably) we are still stuck with a useless server browser...
I wonder what BF2142 will have for a server browser.:laugh:

The in-game server browser has so many screw-ups it isn't even funny..

Probibly something similar to what we've had for all three games, with minor tweaks with the same gamespy problems

Yeah dude the whole occasional problems with refreshing servers happens to everyone. When my stupid computer ticks me off I usually just pull the BF2 disc out and restart the machine. The game works fine after that.
