How about just make it like the Purple Heart except for TKs?

If you have greater than a 5:1 TK/kill ratio (minimum of 10 TKs), then you automatically get demoted to the beginning on the rank below your current rank.

Example:
Lets say in a round I have a TK/kill ratio of 5:1 where I killed 3 enemies but TK'ed 15 people (5:1 ratio TK/kill ratio). I am currently a 2nd Lutenient at 63,000 points, so I would get demoted to 50,000 points as a Seargent Major.

You people seem to be missing the point that ranks are completely meaningless except as a way to get unlocks. The only reason I want to get ranks is so I can use more weapons. I laugh at people who think they're better than me because they have a higher rank. I'm a teamkiller now and pictures changing in my stats wouldn't change that.

Seems to me that the rules that define Dereliction of Duty is the RoE and BFROE.com is the Staff HQ for the stripping of rank.

It would be very hard to code up an in-game system for it that wouldn't be exploitable.

And with heaps of accidental ones getting punished for no reason...this would hurt too many people who are trying to do the right thing.

ridiculous idea... because there are idiots who intentionally get TKed, who punish without even thinking... and just plain idiots anyways.

I was in the sound files one day and i found a song, insted of it sounding like the one u get when u win something, it was a demoted sound. As if u got so many - points that u lost your rank.
