Surrender Vote for commander

I think there should be a surrender key vote for the commander it's no fun for either side to have 1 flag left with NO NON CAPS on the losing opponents side, this would prevent base raping the last flag and your surrounded by armour, heli and planes dropping bombs.

i dont like that wussy way out, if the enemy has backed you into a corner, FIGHT YOUR WAY OUT!

Every small pimply child commander would then surrender in the middle of the game just to **** everybody off. Yet another thing for children to abuse...

Im sure the surrender key would pop up at the end, just like when they apply for commander

They could make it a voting situation. Commander decides to surrender, it starts a vote, say a 50% team vote is needed to surrender. That way the commander alone could not surrender.

A good idea. Sadly, it would be doomed as the folks that have the upper hand would likely not want their kill streak to end and oppose the idea very strongly.

i dont like the idea, many people are playing so they can reach a certain requirement in a round for particular awards, this would make that even more difficult...i like the rounds to last as long as possible......

the scenerio you had provided as an example sounds as though the round is about to end anyway.....what would be the use at that point?

It would have to be a vote initiated by the commander and voted on by the team only or it would be a great tool for griefers.

I agree with that mate, If one person can get out, 10 people can get out.

Just make a base neutral and then move on!

He sets up a squad, people spawn on him and viola!

So you have one last point left...your own dam fault as I said in another thread.

Getting baseraaped is part of the game just like dying, would you like a vote for every time you die to see whether it counts or not? I think not...

nah no votes. However, the surrender can ONLY be initiated when the team only has one cappable flag remaining.

Voting is pathetic; I think we learned that with the fact that there's never been a successful mutiny or kick vote.

There's no point, your team is already losing. What if your team manages to make a comeback and the obligatory 12y/o commander decides to surrender anyway? Not only that but the other team has gained the right to rape all the points and ranks out of your team that they want at that point. You can't rob the other players out of their right to rank up just to keep your team from from ranking down. This will never work.
