    Single Player

    Hey,

I recently bought BF2 after playing BF1942, DC etc. I think it's great!

Anyway ive got a question about Single Player, you see I wanna brush up my Helo skills, however when I try and play single player I can only play 16 player maps and can't seem to find any options/settings to allow me to play 32 or 64 player maps..

    Can anybody gimme any help?

    Thanks

    Re: Single Player

Dragon Valley, Daqing Oilfields, and Zatar Wetlands 16p all have choppers. If you want 32p size single player maps you will have to use mods.

      Re: Single Player

there's none unless you download minimods but they are not very good at all
my advice is that Patch 1.3 is due in the next 2 weeks I imagine and that will include coop which must indicate support for alot more bots on larger maps
      There is hope :)
and yes it is an awesome game - ranks for me up there with the greats like Operation Flashpoint, Halfife 1 and 2 and Deus Ex

May I also add that 16 player maps are very capable of training those helo skills because the main vehicles will be always manned by the bots. You can easily practice those TVGM skills and FFARs aswell.

            Re: Single Player

Operation Clean Sweep has a Black Hawk in single player, also.

ignore post that say mini mods suck.

google for bf2_bot changer ,this will allow u to add more bots to you selected mod or vanilla bf2/sf

then google for a mod call bf264sp this is a small mod that allows you to play in sp with fullsize maps ,and when used with botchanger you can have a good game.

also check this website out they have made most of the maps in a 64 size that work with bots in sp

              link...........http://battlefieldsingleplayer.plane...d.gamespy.com/

hers a mappack of all the maps in 64 size http://www.fileplanet.com/hosteddl.a...mo/64BF2SP.rar

note^ u need to be register with gamespy to get anything from that site.

p.s there is a flying training map on that site somewhere in the bf2 map section.. good for praccy.

              enjoy

To add to blade.verzilli TF's post, even if 1.3 includes co-op and the ability to use more bots I doubt it will include larger maps for SP/co-op play. It took the people on the BFSP forum a huge amount of time to expand the maps after EA released the tools. Some maps can take a full day of computer time just to generate the bot paths (navmesh). That doesn't include the time the modder spends to set it up and tweak/balance it. That's why DICE didn't include bot support for Kubra/Mashtuur/Wake at all (and these all have been bot-enabled by the BFSP folks). DICE may expand a couple of maps but they won't do them all.

I've recently downloaded the Total BF2 map packs as well as other single player maps. I placed them in the "levels" folder, and they still don't show up on my Single Player list. Is there an option button I'm missing?

                    Re: Single Player

they are not single player compatible - that's why I will not download them
Decent maps with singleplayer support are Operation Amos and Ginkajis (or sth :)) Siege

The TBF2 map packs are not SP-enabled. A few of the maps have had SP supported added; see the BFSP site which blade.verzilli TF pointed to.

glad you're enjoying BF2, I did all my practice in single player too when I started out.

also, Operation Clean Sweep is the only map w/ jets in sp mode FYI.

You could just start your own local server of whatever size and practice bombing. You wont have any bots, but it will at least give a feel for everything.
