AFK commanders, no auto-kick from idle

Is this a new trend? I've been seeing this more and more:


AFK commanders.

Perhaps he's just taking a smoke, but the WHOLE round he did nothing. I would have the professionalism to at least resign.

Sometimes I wish I was on a server with MUTINY.

Needless to say we lost the round by 43.

Play on a server that actually has admins watching it, problem solved.

Or at least one that has voting enabled.

Oh yeah, and ruin the round for the rest of his team which can't help it either. Besides that if the guy is AFK he won't even noticed being spawncamped, so you will just ruin the rounds for the other players.

So who is the smacktard here?

it is a form of stat padding go commander go watch tv you still get points awarded depending on how your team did...

If a commander is afk I like alpha's solution. The whole team suffers completely without a commander doing their job.

Once, on Dragon Valley, I found our commander deep down in a valley in the SE corner of the map. He was in a tank, firing the coax machinegun into the side of the hill once every few seconds. It was obviously a timed macro.

I cannot tolerate that level of laziness and discourtesy for teammates, so I started laying down in front of the MG and dying, then TK punishing.

Eight deaths later he was kicked. Totally worth it.
