I have a SB LIVE! 5.1 sound card and when i set my audio settings to hardware, it seemed like it tok away some frames instead of giving me some and whenver a voice talked it stuttered. It would take bout 4 seconds to say "Clear". Anyone know whats going on?

Run in Software, the SB LIVE can't really handle hardware mode. -

the only cards so far I have seen that an handle hardware is the nforce4 based ones, x-fi, audigy, and maybe the Ati equivalent to nforce4 one.Comment

Either put your sound acceleration down two spaces to Normal or switch to Software mode. It'll fix the problem.Comment
