riccochet frags

Last nite someone tossed a frag at me while i was running, and from my view it looked like i kicked it back at him.
do frags bounce off of people in this game?

From what I have seen, when a frag is thrown at you and collides with your character, it usually kills you. This is before it explodes. Works with smoke grenades too.

Its possible it hit you in a non-vital area and bounced back. The character model is capable of pushing etc, so its very possible that things can bounce off of you. Or it could have been lag.

Yes they bounce of people just like other solid objects.

Sorry I had a different picture from the thread title.

I was thinking of Karkand. When everyone is throwing nads over the wall and you join in, but your throw is a bit off and just clips the wall. You run forward, out of the way, and get all tense, waiting for how many TKs you just earned.

I laughing too hard at this. The mental imagery of dozens of nads thrown over a fence during a firefight cracks me up. It would surely confuse the enemy. Is this a new shock and awe technique?

Yes, grenades bounce off other players, like that time on top of the TV Station on Sharqi. I tried throwing a grenade down, but some guy walked in front of me. Got me a few teamkills...

I tried chucking frag and smoke nades at people (including the head) and I couldn't kill a full-health person in one hit. I did hear the sound when you get hurt though so I know it did damage.
