Wheneer I play BF2, after a while (~1-3 rounds) BF2 will freeze, then go to a blue screen with an error message. The message is pretty much this:
the file 'ati2dvag' got stuck in a infinite loop
& there may be a problem with the file or the driver
Here's also something that was in the error:
Technical information: STOP: 000000EA (0X843E7DA8, 0X843FDE28, 0XF7A69CBC, 0X00000001)
I noticed this happens mostly when there are major graphical changes (going from the on-foot view to the in-vehicle view, lots of explosions on the screen at once, etc.)
