Oh, I believe he means that when he becomes confronted, the enemy usually dives into the prone position and they seem to do a roll onto the ground.

strafe left or right then hit your prone key and welcome.

I had the same thought when I started. How do I do THAT? wait a second... why would I want to do a move that makes you no smaller in the line of fire than a standard prone? and WHY would I want my screen to do a complete 360 while I am trying to fire? makes me dizzy to think about.

          Its just an animation.

Yep.. that's about it. Oh, and please, please, please! Do Not go from prone to standing up, to prone, to standing up. People hate it and a lot of servers will kick for it (called bunny-hopping, worming, and many other names).

Its a cheap tactic that is like dolphin diving to gain an advantage over other players. Its common place these days seeing as how EA/DICE removed the dolphin diving ability. Basically it does the same thing as dolphin diving, but since you cant go forward and perform a dolphin dive whilst firing, they found a way around that - strafe and go prone.

Give players a brick wall and they will tunnel under it. Give em a steel wall and they will climb it. Give em a friggin forcefield like wall and they will eventually think up a bypass.
