Press 9. Check your controls in BF2 next time.

change it to X. 9 is way too far off the wasd movement keys

it is in the manuel but whatever. Actually it probaly would have been better to have made it X but for me im so accoustemed to 9 that if i changed it i would have problems

i do press 9 and i always fall to my death. do i press it and hold it or tap it?

I find spamming 9 at 6000mph is the safest method if you dont want to add to your suicide count. The number of times one press has caused me to die is infuriating, probably 50% of my suicides. :wall:

I remember playing 1942 for the first time, flying in a bomber, had to bail out, didn't know what the paracute key was...

You have to let yourself fall for atleast .5 seconds before you can pull it open, a sign would be your gun disappearing.

I have it set to X. just keep tapping it when you jump/fall and hopefully it opens..

Keep pressing 9 when you are falling because pressing once won't do jack! I always have to press it like 4 times.

Tap it a bit...once your weapon goes away, you should be able to deploy chute.
